We need to get out of Iraq
We cannot take any of the White House's
assertions on Iraq at face value anymore. No amount of charts or statistics will
improve its credibility.
How many more
of our soldiers need to die? Why does the US and President Bush think they have
a right to police the world?

That body count is for the freaking Iraq muslims that DESERVE TO DIE! I say just drop a bomb on the whole country to make the world much safer. Weve lost maybe 4,000 men and woman that SIGNED UP TO FIGHT! Get the FUCK out of the USA if you dont like our WORLD DOMINATION! Our country does do mostly everything right and a lot of countries dont and blame it on their difference in culture like Iraqs. TOO FUCKING BAD that your culture thinks its OK to kill people in GODS name or rape your wife. They should all be killed! View Message..

One very interesting thing about Nancy and Beathany is that they both seem to think that the world is filled with two kinds of people. The inherently good, and the inherently bad. Its a very backward way of thinking. Bernie Madoff was able to thrive, in part because he was considered to be an "inherently good person", and when he was hiring staff he would certainly conduct very expensive ane exhaustive BACKGROUND CHECKS on all prospective employees. It seems that the VIA is also hiring, and they do BACKGROUND CHECKS too, and if hired they may ask you to torture and kill people. Isnt it strange that this process of selectively weeding out people from the job market does precisely nothing to better our world ? That we can discriminate against people with criminal records and deprive them all of jobs, and you would think that Darwinism would imply that the result would be a bettered world, but it is only worsened. Isnt that a giggle ? Id be willing to bet that Bernie Madoff spent many thousands of dollars on background checks, and as it turns out he appears to be one of the biggest criminals in US history. Fascinating !! View Message..

Yes we should get out of Iraq. We are spending to much money helping the Iraqi people out. Our country is suffereing financially. We removed Saddam now these people have to learn how to take care of their own. We need to focus on us, and rebuilding our military strength, and strengthening our economy. We are fighting two wars, and it is destroying our country. The Iraqi people have plenty of money. I want to know why we are financing the rebuilding of their country? We need to be rebuilding our many different circumstances that are occurring right here in our own home land. We need to do it as soon as possible. Our country has failed us for the past 8 years, and Saddam should have been taken care of long time ago. What is it going to take for the United States to start doing the right thing by the American People. All the millions of dollars spent each month helping the lraqi people has put a serious strain on the American People. Take the soldiers out of Iraq. View Message..

It is extremely unfair to steryotype all cops as being corrupt, even though many of them certainly are. For example, another man in New York appears to have been sodomized by some corrupt cops and its making the big apple look like the big A-hole. I think that it is important to remember that good and evil resides in all men, whether they wear a badge or not. But what I need to know is this, we know that they are selling seats on the US Senate because Governor Blegojavich was just arrested by teh FBI for trying to auction off Obamas seat in the US Senate. We have a situation where people in government are selling EVERYTHING. It is a great big yard sale !! They even sold out so bad that they allow importers to bring in baby food that contains the Poison Melamine !! What a trip ! So, clearly, it is obvious that 25,000,000 111ega1 aliens who work here are here as a result of this massive government corruption. If you had $1 from each of these 111ega1 mecksicans, that would come to $25,000,000. If you can buy a seat on the Senate for 1/2 million, certainly $25 million would go a lot farther. I would like to see the FBI investigating Mayors, County Supervisors, Aldermen, and anyone else who is allowing these massive labor crimes to continue unabated.

As a combat VN vet America will never learn will it? VN was disgraceful and the Middle East is no different. It was supposed to be about stopping communist aggression and where did it get us? By
staying we would no more have WON that war than we will this one. The
Russians learned their lesson and got out but America is just too
egotistical and domineering to follow suit. Oh well. Over there we
have gone from supposed liberators now to conquerors. We are not wanted there any more than in VN for which WE lost. Wake up America!
We, as a people, are relatively despised throught the world and it is
our own fault. It is sad. I can remember in the 70s the bumperstickes reading "War is good for the economy-invest your son" after I returned. The bombing of Hanoi didnt work and our everyday
bombing now really hasnt. The writing is on the wall people.
Lastly, I ask americans where are/were the weapons of mass destruction
Bush stated boldly exist? AND I ask you WHERE IN THE HELL IS BIN LADEN?? It did now take us any time to find Saddam now did it America? NUFF SAID. View Message..

Idiot. The deficit is not caused by consumer debt, or people racking up their credit cards. It is caused when the government blows through more money than they take in as tax revenue. Get your head out of your ass. View Message..

Sending our troops on Iraqi soil was the smartest most strategic plan. President Bush did right. Our deficit is caused by the people spending money they dont have, borrowing from plastic cards, filing bankruptcy because they got to have the boat the neighbor has, the big house they cannot aford, got to have the big flat screen TV, got to eat out every night, American business owners hiring illegal aliens to avoid paying taxes, rich people sending their money in secret off-shore accounts. Do you know what each household spends friviously? Everyone had to get a SUV because others bought one. Lets look within ourselves rather than pointing at President Bush. Everything got out of control after the Demos took over the house. Are you even aware of what on the Demos budget agendapretty ridiculous, outlandish things. And they will raise taxes, you watch. What I admire the most about President Bush is that he doesnt buckle under preasure - HES GOT A BACKBONE people. He has integrity and character. And hes carried out what he was supposed to do while in office whether you agree or not. Besides, government was initially installed for the very poor, or for situations like Katrina... if you own a car, a house, have an apartment, food on the table [or go to restaurants daily], own a computer, a cellphone, a blackberry, closets full of clothes, a pillow to lay your weary head, then you are not classified as poor. Stop whining and stop throwing your money away. Be happy. Life is short. Breathe in, breathe out.
P.S. The war is not about oil. Muslim terrorists have planned for almost 20 yrs now to destroy strategic vital key landmarks in America, like the White House, the Pentagon, Twin Towers, in order to cripple the United States. Once they achieve that then they infiltrate and take over those strategic positions, exhort their authority over Americans and basically hold us hostage in this land of the free and the brave. The plan of the rise of Islam in America, folks, is to take over America and subject all Americans to convert to Muslim. If Americans do not convert to Muslim [here in America!!], then bye bye. You better be ready to meet your Creator, because they mean business. But they dont just want America. They truly believe they are called to rule the entire world. President Bush has interrupted their strategy since 9-11. When he is no longer in office, youll appreciate him more, because you will begin to see more as Islams plan unfolds. So, NO, our family is not in a rush to get out of Iraq. Some of us have been over there couple times already.
And another thing, maybe the filthy rich should spread some of their wealth across the land to the needy rather than storing it all for themselves. You cant take it with you when you die. View Message..

I just want to ask the last poster and the ones that say we need to be in Iraq how many children, sons, daughters, husband, nieces, nephews, etc etc you have over there right now?
How many of them have you actually seen and knew before they went and then when they come home see how the life is not in their young eyes anymore? Ask them how many of their friends lost their lives and how many quick funerals that they attended as they put boxes on planes and sent them home?
Both of my sons are in the military and one has been to Afghanistan right after 9-11 and we were all glad that he went as that is where UBL was and is.
One went to Iraq and just got home and let me tell you, as a mother, I look in my sons eyes and he WILL NEVER EVER be the same.
NEVER.
Please investigate or go to a military hospital or talk to them to see how many of them cant feed their families and lose their homes while they are in Iraq!
It happened to my son so yes I can talk about it. He lost his home while serving his country. DO I support our troops no matter what?
YES I DO!!! Do I support this war? NO I DON"T.
DO I vote in EVERY election? YES I DO! I watch for months to find out what the policies are etc etc. I investigate every move I make when it comes to my sons and grandkids future.
Please write back if you have someone in Iraq or have been there yourself as I would love to hear from you.
I myself did not go there but I have a broken heart from my son going there and knowing I cant take that experience away from him.
It is not something I would have chosen for my children.
I would have GLADLY went in his place. WOULD YOU? You can enlist also, both of my sons enlisted. Have you? View Message..

What is America ? A big pile of money and an TV Show. That is all. They talk endlessly about freedom, justice, democracy, liberty, equality, free market, competition, opportunity, bla bla bla. It is all LIES. It may have been true many years ago, but not today. America is just a big pile of money which is being used as a strategic global economic weapon, and the TV is used to keep people happy and smiling as their homes are repossesed and their children come home in bodybags. The truth of the matter is that we dont like it when people vote, and that is why we lock them in prison and replace them with Mex1cans who cannot vote. We need a large, powerless working class to get out there and PICK THAT COTTON. View Message..

It truly is a GREAT COUNTRY when you have people doing life in prison for stealing a piece of pizza (true story), and at the same time you have 20 million i11egal 1aborers who are breaking the law every single day and the law simply does not care. The guy who stole the piece of pizza - that was his "third strike" - so he goes to prison for life. But at the same time, mi11ions of i11egal 1aborers are breaking the law over and over and over, 365 felonies per year just by being here, then they commit identity theft to get j0bs. The justice system in this so-called country is a LIE. Living here is like living under C0mmunist rule, our Justice system is a huge massive LIE. In fact, Amer1ca appears to going back to its old ways during the s1ave trade. We deny emp1oyment to Amer1can workers, and we hire i11egal 1abor. We choose to hire i11egal 1abor, because we dont like to h1re anyone who has broken the law. We dont h1re Amer1can fe1ons. Instead, we would prefer to h1re i11egal laborers who are in the commission of a felony by being here and stealing identities. That is whats happening in America today...this country is a LIE. A BIG MASSIVE LIE. We have a 3-strikes law, 3-strikes and you get LIFE in prison. But they refuse to enforce the law when it comes to i11egal 1abor. Hundreds and hundreds of felonies, per year, per alien. 15 million aliens, 365 days per year gives 5,475,000,000 felonies per year just for the act of trespassing. This does not even address all of the identity theft, and the felonies committed by emp1oyers who h1re those i11egals. We are talking about TRILLIONS OF FELONIES. TRILLIONS, AND TRILLIONS, AND TRILLIONS OF FELONIES PER YEAR AND THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT CARE ONE BIT, but they DID give a guy LIFE in prison for stealing a piece of pizza. This country is a LIE. LIBERTY WON, PART 3
Freedom in Iraq is here to stay!
Exclusive: Marc Knutson tells of new hope glistening with each new sunrise
Posted: February 23, 2008
1:00 am Eastern
Editors note: Marc Knutson recently returned from a two-week trip to Iraq. He wrote a three-part series of columns reporting on what he found there. This is Part 3 of the series. Read Part 1, "Iraqis enjoy freedom from fear." Read Part 2, "Neighborhood Watch on a national scale."
By Marc Knutson
On my recent trip to Iraq, I wanted to know what the locals really thought of American actions. We often hear about the "Great Satan" intervening in their affairs. So, my goal was to ask everyone I came in contact with, "Do you see America and the coalition forces as invaders or liberators?" I asked that question so often that my driver would anticipate my timing and would ask the question before I got to it. Overwhelmingly, the reply was "liberators!!" with an extra exclamation point.
I had the opportunity to speak with Adnan, the Iraqi country manager for a British petroleum company in Erbil. Adnan portrayed the stereotypical image that I had of an elder Middle Eastern man. His presence commanded my instant respect. Once again, I was treated to an enjoyable feast of wisdom and great appreciation of America. It was obvious that he didnt want me to lose a single syllable of his answer: "Liberators! Thats who you are. Thats what youve done. Thats how we will always think of you." Assured that he had my undivided attention, what he was going to say next was from his heart, "and dont let anyone tell you anything different." Yes, his English was broken and heavily spiked with a Middle Eastern accent, but his message was not lost because of it.
"But," I protested, "There are many Americans who believe that our efforts were inspired by big oil profits and personal political gain by governmental leaders." I thought surely I was representing the protests of those who oppose American involvement.
"I know that in America, you are not a country of fools. You couldnt be who you are in international stature if you were. Saddam was a fool, Hitler was a fool, and look where they are now. Americans are not fools. But, I also know that politics will rule their emotions." For a moment he turned away I think he was a bit frustrated in how he wanted to express his point. "I only ask for half of America to live what we have lived, to experience the everyday fear of torture, family separation and harassment. I will say this as plainly as I can – George Bush is a hero. He is our hero! The sons and daughters of America who died to make it so we can be free are heroes and indeed liberators! We now enjoy freedom and liberty almost as the Americans do."
Once again, silence highlighted the moment. "I believe you Americans called the war Operation: Iraqi Freedom, right?" I conceded with a nod as Adnan continued, "Then why would you so quickly change? The great people of America have are charged with duties of helping the repressed peoples of the world. Its not something that I just believe it is as a result of your own greatness and moral integrity. America is known around the world as a nation with a big heart and a heavy responsibility. … It is more incumbent upon the most powerful nation in the world to help the repressed."
This past summer we decided to conduct a Baseball Camp for local children," he explained. "They werent very familiar with baseball, so we had to start with the very, very basics." He ramped up his excitement and his whole countenance beamed as he relived the event. "We invited children from Erbil to participate, but we encountered some issues right away. The U.S. State Department required that the parents sign a waiver of liability. Most of the parents opted out because they didnt trust the papers. In the old days, signing government papers in Iraq was usually for quite severe reasons these parents were too gun shy and abused by the previous regime. This meant that we were short of kids to field teams. We went to a local orphanage and recruited kids from there. Another issue presented itself these kids needed the proper shoes. We had some, but not all of them fit. So, we ran downtown and bought enough sneakers for all the kids. We had a blast teaching them the game." He was proud as he spoke of outfitting the children with "sneakers." "Our primary mission was Iraqi Freedom today it is Iraq: Enjoy Your Freedom!"

Construction boom
There are many explosions in the lands of the South, but none matches the construction boom coming from the Kurdistan Region. Not just reconstruction, as one would picture post World War II Europe, but brand-new modern buildings. The war itself barely touched the Northern Province. So to say that they are rebuilding war-damaged structures would be inaccurate. Ironically, Turkish investors are pouring investment monies into the North.
After years of neglect and abuse from the Saddam government, which sought the demise of the Kurds, their freedom to build and expand is at a feverish pace. New hotels, shopping centers, swim centers and even bowling alleys have sprung up throughout the region. In Erbil alone, they are enjoying four new shopping malls. While not American-sized malls – they are indeed American-style. The dollar is very welcomed. If you run out of Iraqi dinars, the dollar makes for a great and welcomed substitute.
The Erbil International Airport is being rebuilt with an "under construction" terminal and a 4.8-kilometer runway, strong enough and long enough to handle the new Airbus A380. At completion, it will rank fifth among the worlds longest runways. Looking toward the future, planners see Erbil as a hub for many airlines headed from Europe and the West, to the Far East and India.
There are future revenue sources literally lying in puddles on top of the ground. In the land Saddam Hussein preferred to waste away, there are oil resources just itching to be tapped. The oil industry in Kurdistan is admittedly 25 years behind the rest of the oil exploration world, simply because Saddam would not allow modern technology information into the industry. Oil-related trade magazines, periodicals, etc. were not permitted. Nonetheless, today they are making up for it. New wells are being dug in areas where looking for oil was a matter of taking a stroll, because there is oil lying in puddles on the surface. Despite the obvious evidence to the contrary, the Kurds had been told for years that they had no oil resources under their soil. The oil is there, and that is great economic news for the Kurds. New hope glistens with each new sunrise.
To my wonderment, Northern Iraq was the actual antithesis of my expectations. I saw people who had been released into the field of lifes opportunities unencumbered by the freedom-restricting yoke on their shoulders called Saddam Hussein.
What I learned was, as Americans, we ought to be proud of what has happened. Our work in Iraq has been well-received and greatly appreciated – and not in some light or trifled fashion. These people grieve for the sacrifices many Americans have paid. They are ashamed and embarrassed by the renegade, fanatical Islamacists from other countries who have caused so much grief. As one mother of a dead Iraqi son so adeptly put it, as she spoke through her tears, "Your sons are our sons."
There are plenty of good news stories within Iraq that need to be told to America, and indeed the entire world. I had been misled into believing that there can only be three things that we can expect from Iraq: despair, hopelessness and death.
There are stories that are brimming with hope, stories that fill our hearts with pride and lift our heads from the dregs of defeatism, allowing us to rise to the soaring heights of pride. We Americans, using our resources, earned through liberty, helped to free others squashed by tyranny. Who better than Americans to realize the taste of democracy?
The liberated peoples of Iraq now enjoy the opportunity to release pent up, repressed ideas and expressions that only liberation from tyranny can provide. Only a few short years separate these people from the days of hiding in fear. Savoring the fresh taste of democracy on their tongues, todays worries consist of their childrens school grades, rising oil prices, or other common things that the rest of the world wrestles with.
As one person in the government related to me as I was leaving, "We love America, we love George Bush, we want to maintain a relationship with America like Israel has. In fact, we want to be Americas Second Israel in the region!"
Such high hopes, I thought! Such trust in America! As I remember the joyous, childlike faith and the look on his face as he told me that, my heart went out to him. And I heard my inner voice say, dripping with cynicism, "I only hope that your trust in American is not shattered by American politicians and American politics."
The hope in democracy, the faith in freedom and the trust in liberty allow these people to have a say in their own destiny. Their fate rests in their hands, and from what I observed, they are not going to let it go. They know it came at a great cost, to them and to America. Because I have seen that look in their eyes, I believe that they are not going to squander the opportunity that has been handed to them. They dont take their freedom for granted – and they wont.

When are American going to wake up? If Alan Greenspan wrote it in his new book, "it was mostly about oil", who the heck else do you have to hear it from if you cant believe the former head of the most powerful private banking club (Fed.
